BOSTON UNIVERSITY
OFF BROADWAY
Boston University Off Broadway Service Choir
I joined Boston University On Broadway's Off Broadway, colloquially known as OBOB, during my Freshman year at Boston University. OBOB is a service choir that travels to residential homes, women's shelters, and children's hospitals (among other places) to sing and spread joy to communities that need it. Our repertoire consists of modern pop to musical theater to old classics to appeal to a wide range of audiences. After enjoying myself to such an extent my Freshman year, I applied to become Music Director of the group for my Sophomore year, and have held that position ever since. During my time as a Music Director, I arranged multiple pieces of music, including an Elton John Medley, Adele's "Rolling in the Deep," and an arrangement of Alex Lacamoire's "Found/Tonight." I also mixed all songs and edited several videos, some of which can be found below, for three virtual Charity Showcases during the COVID-19 pandemic that helped raise over $2500 for the National Domestic Violence Hotline! Below are a few original compositions, as well as the videos that we posted for the showcase.
